Meiruko-chan First Episode Impression || worth watching or not ? ||

 Hey guys ! welcome to my blog and thankyou in advance for reading this . Today we are going to discuss about a newly released horror comedy anime ; Meiruko-chan . More or less we all were hyped about this new anime before the release but is it maintaining the hype still ? Was it worth all the hype ?

As it was released on 3rd October , 2021 , I was excited to the bone to watch this horror comedy anime because this genre is not as much common in anime as compared to movies . I was eager to see how this unique genre will be executed in a way that will connect to the audience .

God ! I was thrilled to finally watch the first episode , it was exhilarating : I wish I could say that but it was far from what I expected . This first episode couldn't match my expectation or it was me who was expecting too much , I really don't know at this point .

Literally , up to the half of the episode there was not anything engaging . I don't know if they were trying to build up the situation for the horror scenes to take the audience by surprise or what; I am not really sure . But 1st half was boring as hell . There were only scenes of the protagonist and her friend doing daily routine and experiencing a little unusual things . However it was not engaging at all .

Later half of the episode finally introduced the main theme of the anime i.e. horror with comedy . And I forgot to mention that animation quality is pretty good though I can't say the same thing with its execution . Though the later half was not dull as the 1st half , it was also not engaging much . I didn't experience any goosebumps nor any laugh in spite of its genre . I was expecting some hilarious expressions in the face of protagonist seeing the ghosts that would make me laugh to the bone but again my expectation got utterly crushed as there was not a single glimpse of it . Though you might not feel the same , I am only sharing my personal experience , so I recommend you to first watch it because your preference might not be similar as mine .

However , this first episode is only the tip of a iceberg . There is more to come . We can't judge the whole anime just by a single episode . There are many examples of anime which were dull at the beginning but blast as they were moving forward with the story line . This might be one of those anime . So , despite of the first experience I will keep watching this anime in the hope that it will get better .
